Yacht Solutions Vessel Management Program
Yacht Solutions has been managing vessels in Thailand for over 6 years. The company has developed a good team of experienced staff who clean and maintain the management fleet under the close supervision of an experienced western management team.
Yacht Solutions is the only dedicated marine management company in Thailand, focusing solely on the daily management of all aspects of your vessel. Having a prime directive of marine management, client's requirements are the number one priority as the company acts as your representative in Phuket for all marine related issues.
The dedicated team covers the full spectrum of the marine industry skills. Yacht Solutions staff are very experienced in areas ranging from engineering and maintenance to immigration and customs procedures. Every issue you will face regarding boat ownership in Thailand is dealt with under a unique vessel management program.
The standard Yacht Solutions management program's is listed below. Yacht Solutions also offer crewed management programs.
Yacht Management
General vessel safety and security check
- mooring line and fenders checked
- all hatches and port holes checked for secure locking
- bilges checked and monitored for water ingress
Exterior Cleaning
- all areas down to the water line, including fenders and shore power cables.
- a mild marine detergent with water is used with various soft headed brushes and sponges, prior to a thorough rinsing off and then dried with a chamois.
- teak decks and canvas will be cleaned and treated after agreement with the owner. (Specific products may charged for extra)
- stainless steel will be polished monthly.
- fresh water tanks will be filled.
Interior Cleaning
- hatches and port holes will be opened to fully ventilate the vessel
- floor boards will be raised and bilges mopped out, wiped round
- all floor boards and fiberglass surfaces will be wiped down using a mild detergent and water.
- wooden surfaces will be dusted and cleaned with a suitable product.
- upholstery and leather will be cleaned after agreement with the owner. (Specific products may be charged for extra)
- heads & shower rooms will be thoroughly cleaned, aired and systems worked
- windows and ports will be cleaned with a window cleaner
- carpet and upholstery surfaces will be vacuumed
The second tier of management incorporates the necessary weekly maintenance required on all vessels. The management team will create a suitable maintenance schedule and record for your vessel which includes but is not limited to:
On a weekly basis
- run the air-conditioning and fridges to fully check operation
- turn the helm (wheel) from lock to lock and re-centre it
- operate all heads, water faucets and showers
- check cockpit drains for debris
- check fluids and run the main engine and engage fore and aft gears
- check fluids and run the genset
- turn-on all the electronic equipment and lighting and check for operation
- repair and replace where necessary - any repairs or replacements will be authorised by the client and charged for accordingly
On a fortnightly basis
- visual inspection of engine room to ensure all hoses, clamps and fittings are in good order - replacements where necessary will be at the clients cost
- clean grey water strainers
- visual inspection of awnings, covers and other lines
- check batteries and top up where necessary
- turn anchor windlass to ensure correct operation.
- all winches will be spun.
Upon Request - * during YS opening hours.
- removal, stowage and then replacement of all awnings, covers*
- beds in the cabins will be made up and towels laid out*
- fridges and/or air con can be switched on prior to arrival*
- limited storage for spare equipment a small charge may be levied depending upon the size of area required.
- provision of an experienced, friendly English speaking Thai Captain (at extra cost).
Maintenance and repair
- all maintenance scheduling will be monitored and updated.
- all necessary maintenance will be planned and organized
- all work carried out on the vessel by a 3rd party will closely monitored when arranged through Yacht Solutions. (please read about our PSL agreement.)
Paperwork
- vessel registration, permits, licenses, insurance will be monitored and you advised in advance to ensure everything is kept up to date and legal.
- any immigration and customs enquiries and problems can be dealt with.
Safety
- all safety items will be monitored to ensure they are all within date and in full working order where possible.
- advice on vessel safety, passage planning, local waters etc.
Communication
- regular communication will be maintained usually by e mail and increasingly through their new website (launch date Autumn 2007.)
