Late 2003 I bought a ten year old Princess 66. For me it was a new experience to own a boat of that size and specially to manage all that comes with it, including a two person full time crew. And to do that in Phuket and living away in Bangkok was even harder. What I felt under the first years before engaging Yacht Solutions was that I was not in control and in the end that can easily result in extra expenses and other inconveniences. And I even had a change of crew within 2-1/2 years.

When I asked Yacht Solutions to manage my boat, they acted as my representative in Phuket overseeing the day-to-day management of the crew including all purchases and services needed for the boat. This arrangement has been very effective, now I feel like I’m there all the time and in control. They use companies that are included in their preferred suppliers list, thereby ensuring that the best quality products and services in Phuket are obtained at all times. With this arrangement the costs for having Yacht Solutions is a real investment that minimized problems and at the same time saves money because I pay the market price and I always get the right stuff so even with the Yacht Solutions fee the result is much lower total costs!

I think their service is perfect in a situation where the owner is far away from where the boat is berthed and I just wish I had this arrangement from the beginning.

Jigonda reference

Lady Eileen.

To whom it may concern

I have been the owner of Lady Eileen, an 82ft Monto Fino based in Phuket since 2004.  At first I had a crew of three on board including a Thai captain.  I found that I did not use the boat as much as I would have liked to as I was not happy with how the crew worked.

I was advised to speak with Yacht Solutions and outlined my thoughts with them.  They very quickly offered a solution.  They went through the yacht and organised weekly schedules for the crew, maintenance logs and trained the crew how to work with an owner when he is on board.  These changes greatly improved the use and enjoyment of the yacht and I am now driving her myself.

Yacht Solutions are now in full control of the yacht, maintenance and finances and I am very happy with all.

I would wholeheartedly recommend their services to any yacht owner wanting piece of mind and hassle free boating.

I was very impressed with the management role you played for Stormvogel while she was in the Boat Lagoon, overseeing the crew and ensuring all the work went well.  It was easy to live in Europe and keep in contact with your team, knowing a professional company was involved.

Your role in sending Stormvogel to Myanmar and the Andaman islands made our life very easy and we appreciate it.
